What does Inventors Tech do?
Inventors Tech is a UK embedded engineering company. We design electronics hardware, write embedded firmware (C/C++, FreeRTOS, bare-metal), and take IoT products from idea to manufactured, shipped hardware for clients across medical, industrial and consumer IoT sectors.
What industries do you work with?
We work across medical and healthcare devices, industrial systems, and consumer IoT — as well as white-label and OEM hardware for businesses that want their own product without building an engineering team.
Can you take over an existing or half-finished project?
Yes. A large part of our consultancy work is rescuing or accelerating existing projects — debugging firmware, fixing hardware revisions, optimising power consumption, or getting a stalled prototype through to production.
How do I start a project with Inventors Tech?
Message us on WhatsApp at +44 7511 001811, email info@inventorstech.io, or call us. We start with a free consultation to understand your requirements, then give you a clear scope, timeline and quote.
Do you handle the full product, or just parts of it?
Either. We can own the whole journey — requirements, system architecture, hardware design, firmware, testing and manufacturing support — or slot into your team for a specific piece such as firmware or PCB design.
How much does it cost to develop an embedded or IoT product?
It varies enormously with scope — a single-sensor BLE device and a certified medical product are very different projects. That's why we never quote blind: the first consultation is free, and after it you receive a fixed, itemised quote against a written specification. You'll know the cost before any work starts.
How long does it take to develop an IoT product?
A working prototype is typically measured in weeks to a few months; a production-ready product, including testing and manufacturing hand-off, usually takes several months depending on complexity and certification needs. We give a milestone-based timeline with every quote.
Do you work with startups and individual inventors?
Yes. Our full-product-ownership model exists exactly for founders without an engineering team: bring us the idea, and we own the spec, hardware, firmware, testing and manufacturing hand-off. We'll also tell you honestly at the feasibility stage if the idea can't hit your target cost or battery life.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes — NDAs are standard practice for us. Most of our client work is confidential and ships under our clients' brands, which is why you won't see it on this site.
Where is Inventors Tech based, and do you work remotely?
We're a UK limited company (registered in England & Wales, Company No. 15369201) and work with clients across the UK and worldwide. Engagements run remotely by default, with calls, demos and written milestones keeping everything visible.
Which microcontrollers and platforms do you use?
Most of our work is on STM32, ESP32 and Nordic nRF52 microcontrollers, written in embedded C/C++ on FreeRTOS or bare-metal, with Bluetooth Low Energy where products need connectivity. The underlying skills transfer to nearly any MCU your product requires.
Can you manufacture our product as well as design it?
We design for manufacture and produce complete fabrication and assembly packs, then hand off to your manufacturer or one of our manufacturing partners — and support you through the first production runs.
Do you build white-label or OEM hardware?
Yes. If you want a hardware product under your brand without building an engineering team, we can design, develop and deliver it as an OEM/white-label engagement — like our own CanvasBT e-ink frame, but carrying your name.
Who owns the intellectual property in what you build for us?
You do. Design files, firmware source, documentation and reports produced under an engagement are handed over to you. We're engineers for hire, not landlords of your product.
