This policy explains what personal data Inventors Tech Ltd collects through inventorstech.io and when you contact us, how we use it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law. Short version: we only collect what you send us, we use it to reply and to deliver work, and we never sell it.

2. What data we collect

Contact data you send us — when you message us by WhatsApp, email or phone, or submit our project enquiry form: your name, company, contact details, and the contents of your message (which may include details of your project).
Business relationship data — if we work together: contract details, correspondence, and billing information.
Technical data — our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. We do not use these to identify visitors.

Our enquiry form sends your submission directly to our email inbox — it is not stored in any database on the website. The site uses no accounts or marketing trackers, and does not set cookies. See our Cookie Notice.

3. How and why we use your data

To respond to enquiries — legal basis: legitimate interests (responding to a message you sent us), or steps prior to entering a contract.
To deliver engineering work and manage the relationship — legal basis: performance of a contract.
To keep records we're legally required to keep (e.g. invoicing and tax) — legal basis: legal obligation.
To keep the website secure — legal basis: legitimate interests.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing emails without your consent.

4. Third parties and where data goes

WhatsApp — if you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages are processed by WhatsApp/Meta under their privacy policy. Message us by email or phone if you prefer.
Web fonts — all fonts on this site are self-hosted on our own server, so viewing our pages sends no requests to third-party font services.
Hosting — the site and our email are hosted by our infrastructure providers, who process server logs on our behalf.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers rely on the provider's recognised safeguards (such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses). We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

5. How long we keep data

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return to the project. Contractual and billing records are kept for the periods required by UK law (typically six years). Server logs are retained briefly by our hosting provider for security purposes.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@inventorstech.io — we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data — for example, if we add analytics or a contact form — we will update this policy and the "last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
