Embedded C/C++ on FreeRTOS and bare-metal. BLE, drivers, and low-power design measured in months of battery.
Inventors Tech develops production embedded firmware in C/C++ for UK and international clients — FreeRTOS and bare-metal, Bluetooth Low Energy, sensor drivers and low-power architectures on STM32, ESP32 and nRF52. The same team designs the hardware, so firmware and board are engineered together.
Day to day we work with STM32, ESP32 and Nordic nRF52 microcontrollers, in embedded C and C++, on FreeRTOS and bare-metal. That covers the overwhelming majority of modern IoT products — and the underlying skills (RTOS design, DMA, interrupt architecture, low-power modes) transfer to almost any MCU your product needs.
Battery life is designed, not hoped for. We build a power budget at architecture stage, choose components for their sleep currents, and structure firmware so the device spends most of its life in deep sleep — waking only for the microseconds that matter. Our own product, CanvasBT, runs up to a year on a single charge using exactly this discipline.
Because our firmware engineers work alongside our hardware designers, firmware is planned against the real board — its power tree, its errata, its test points — from day one. If you already have hardware, we'll work from your schematics; if it's still being designed, we'll influence it while change is cheap.
